Cleansed Once and For All

We’ve been talking about all the things religion can’t do for us. We can’t find rest in religion. We only find it in Christ. We can’t find forgiveness in religion. We only find forgiveness in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Religion can’t cleanse our consciousness. Only the sacrifice offered by Jesus can do that. “The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,so that we may serve the living God!” Hebrews 9:13-14 * UNITED October 15-17, 2021 https://basicgospel.net/united/

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
