God Works in You

So many ask, “How can I be close to God?” And often that has to do with feeling. They want to feel close to God. But closeness to God has to do with location, not a feeling. Our feelings change, but the truth of Christ in you will never change. We are one with Him in spirit. “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13 * Can you explain the “With fear and trembling” part?
* A caller asks about Hebrews 8:13. Why do so many continue to live under the Old Covenant when “… what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”?
* Ryan calls to say “thank you” to Basic Gospel Nation for prayers and support during his struggle with brain cancer. * How did reconciliation occur before Jesus?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
