Is Tithing required in the New Covenant?

Is tithing a requirement for today? Malachi 3:10 is often used to compel believers to give 10% in tithe, in order to receive blessing from God. The New Covenant ushered in a different way to give – joyfully and without compulsion. Listen as we explain this “hard passage”. Matthew 23:23 is often used as a basis for the act of tithing, but that teaching misses the point of the verse. Jesus was addressing hypocrisy of the teachers of the law. This “hard passage” is rich in matters of the heart.
