The word forgive means to send away. Only the person sinned against can take the initiative to forgive. So how does God do that? Hebrews 9:22 “Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” And you need both the death and the resurrection to provide this forgiveness of sins. * How do you know you’re born again?
