Why Did the Jews Reject Jesus?

My friend says she’s a Christian but believes the Bible is flawed since it’s written by men. She also doesn’t believe in Hell. She says it’s cruel.
* Are Jews saved by the Old Covenant or the New? Can their salvation be revoked? * How do we interpret 2 Thessalonians 3:10?
