Tested by Fire

We encounter all kinds of trials and tribulations because we live in a world that is anti-God. Jesus entered into the darkness of the world and placed us into his kingdom. And as believers today we are ambassadors for this his kingdom. God sustains us by his power. “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith–more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire… ” 1 Peter 1:6-9 * Why did Jesus make so much wine? Wouldn’t that make everyone drunk?
* Mike asks about Matthew 8:20 “And Jesus said to him, ‘Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.'”
* My question has to do with what is called “the third use of the law”. What exactly is it?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life.
