Stand Firm

Anyone who’s been called to live a righteous life will be persecuted for it. But we’ve been equipped for it. Paul wrote this to Timothy: “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:6, 7 We can trust the God that lives in us to hand the adversity that comes to us.
* How do we forgive ourselves for past sins and how do we live with consequences of those sins? * Why would a God of love allow someone’s fiancée to be trafficked? * If God fulfills us, why marry?
* If we were given perfect hearts and were completely fulfilled by our relationship with God, why weren’t Adam and Eve satisfied? * Are paintings or movies of Jesus a form of idolatry?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
