This New Covenant is for you and me. It’s where we live today. Too often we try to mix the old and new and make a mess of it and us. Hebrews 8:7 reads, “For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.” There was nothing wrong with the law, but “[God] finds fault with [the people] when he says Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant…” Hebrews 8:8,9
