This weekend’s tragedy in Pittsburgh is our focus today. The Tree of Life synagogue was the target of a horrific display of hatred. Our hearts are broken by the loss of life and for the evil that was represented by the gunman. When a place of worship is no longer a safe place, it is a dangerous world to live in. There are no laws that can legislate virtue and civility; it takes the love of God through Jesus Christ to reach into the heart of man. Our prayers and sympathy to those who are reeling with this loss.
* Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”
* I know the world is against us and God is for us. I don’t understand how God is for us in the loss of my baby boy.
* If you’re a Christian, will you be judged when you die? 2 Corinthians 5:10
