Conformed to the Image of Christ

Everyone would like a lifetime, rock-solid guarantee for things is this life. Unfortunately that doesn’t exists for things in this world. However, in Jesus Christ we do have such a guarantee. Romans 8:28, 29 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”
* Vern comments about eternal security and that some teach you can walk away from Jesus Christ.
* Bill is confused by Acts 2:38. Are our sins washed away by water baptism or the moment we become believers in the finished work of Christ?
* My pastor is constantly pointing out every bad and ugly thing that you see in yourself. Is this biblical? Is that what a pastor is supposed to do?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
