A New Identity in Christ

Romans 8:9
* Identity is a critical issue for daily living. If we don’t know who we are we won’t know where we’re going. Adam and Eve didn’t have those questions. But when they fell, those questions took the center focus of human history. Paul wrote about this in Romans 8 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
* Bob talks about last week’s confirmation hearing for Russell Vought and Bernie Sanders questioning of his stand as a Christian. If we have the Son, we have life. If we don’t have the Son, we don’t have life.
* Derron asks about James statement about faith without works and how that fits into Christian life. * Clay asks about 1 Thessalonians 5:23 as it concerns our identity.

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
