A Prayer in Private

We’re talking about prayer — Jesus teaching his disciples how to pray. He says, “don’t pray as the hypocrites”. There’s a personal connection when we pray which is why we pray in Jesus’ name. So how do the hypocrites pray? In the synagogues and on the street corners… in the public so people can see me. And what does Jesus say? “they have received their reward already.” He instructed the disciples to pray in private… in their closets. He is there to give his full to us because we have a personal relationship with the Father. * Clay asks about 1 Thessalonians 5:15, 16.
* Chris wonders if John 15:14 is conditional.
* Mark asks if sin can break our fellowship with the Father.

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
