Confidence of What We Hope For

How do we live the Christian life? By faith. Faith is something brand new to us when we come to Christ. Apart from Jesus faith has no meaning. We’re no longer asked to live according to the law but to live in faith upon the finished work of Jesus Christ. He alone fulfilled the old to usher in the new. In Hebrews 11 we read: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” * Matt asks about prayers being hindered in 1 Peter 1:7.
* Shelly wants to know about referring to ourselves as saints rather then sinners. * Can you be in relationship with Jesus but not in fellowship with him?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
