Great Expectations – Lesson 14

Many verses in the Bible make the case for eternal security. The strongest come from the mouth of Jesus. In John 10:28-30 he says, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” As hard as Satan tries to seek, kill and destroy, this statement by Christ renders his effort powerless. No one and no thing can ever destroy the assurance of your salvation. It’s done! God wants you to know you are saved. It is so important to him that he asked the Spirit to make this truth real in your heart. Your assurance of salvation is on his shoulders and he is up to the task. With Christ living in you, you can walk in assurance. That’s good news! (Chapter 5, page 35)
