Great Expectations – Lesson 13

Bob begins with a story from his days at University of Georgia. When Herschel Walker joined the team, he single-handedly changed the expectations of the football program. They had great success all because a kid from south Georgia showed up. It’s a great analogy of Christianity. When Jesus shows up in our life, everything changes! God’s presence in your life changes everything. The God of the universe is living in you. His love, grace, truth and power are now coursing through your spiritual veins. Now all your hopes and expectations for life are pinned to him. Jesus showed up in your life. He is on the scene. As a result, you can live with great expectations. In our own testimonies we look human-side – let’s look at it heaven-side. What is God’s testimony about us?

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life.
