God’s Special Possession

We’re going to look at a controversial topic today called predestination. We read in 1 Peter 2:9, 10 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” As the bride of Christ we’ve been set apart — we are a chosen nation — to express Christ on this planet. Peter sits it atop the mercy of God.
* So many teach that you can walk away from Jesus – lose your salvation. What is the biblical truth?
* I heard Rhonda Rousey speak about wanting to commit suicide after losing her fight. I thought that it was sad her identity was being a fighter. Please explain identity in Christ.
* There’s so much garbage on social media. How do I respond to those posts and share Christ?

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
