Receive the Mercy He has for You

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:1, 2 This is one of the cries of David’s heart after he had committed sin. He knew there was nothing he could do to reconcile that situation. He knew that only God’s mercy. In Romans 4 we see the answer. This prayer has been answered for us all well. At the cross Jesus took the punishment for us so that we can experience the forgiveness of sins. There may be many that have the prayer of David and I encourage to to look to the cross for the answer found in Christ’s finished work. * Gwen struggles with whether God truly cares for her or not. * Clay asks about the difference between mercy and grace.
