The Secret of Contentment

John 8:31b, 32 “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” We’ve been set free from the law of sin and death. Jesus is the one that did that and He makes us alive with Him. Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship.” We stand before God as forgiven people. But what does the world say? We have to do something to receive forgiveness. And if we believe this we fall into bondage once again. However the truth is that He has forgiven us once for all. Jesus has given us His righteousness and we can stand in that truth. When we do, we’ll be set free from the error in the world.
