Set Free to Serve One Another in Love

Romans 8:1, 2 is the retelling of the “Exodus story” in this New Covenant. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” There are many people set free – for example from prison – but they don’t know how to live as free people. There freedom is not sustainable. This is true for Christians as well. We need to understand what we’ve bet set free from and what we’ve been set free for.
