Godly Sorrow Brings Repentance

Paul gives us a great example of repentance in his second letter to the Corinthians 2 Corinthians 7:8-13 “Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it–I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while– yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance…” When we repentant and turn toward God we will find His kindness and mercy. * Are we still under God’s wrath? What about the fallen state of the world?
* My adult daughter attempted suicide. She survived this attempt. What happens to those who commit suicide?
* In Luke 22:38 why were the disciples allowed by Jesus to bring the swords if He didn’t want them to use them?
* My friend and I were saved in our youth but have taken different paths. How can I help my friend turn from his destructive lifestyle? * Is a person only saved through belief in Christ?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
