“I am the First and the Last”

Let’s look at Revelation 20:4-6 “I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God…” Why is this good news to us as believers? Why can we find hope in this? In the first chapter John records the words of Jesus… “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”
* Nate emails us: “You said the Kingdom of God is here and we do not need to say the our father. I say that the Kingdom of god would not have murder, rape and abuse in it.” and asks, “if it were here, then why say they would not inherit it?”
* I know that Jesus’ body was three days and nights in the tomb, then he was resurrected. He gave up the Spirit on the cross. Is there any way to show that both Jesus’ soul and his Spirit went to Abraham’s bosom during that three day period?

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
