What’s in a Name?

Join us as Bob Christopher shares the meaning behind the Christmas Story. In our own minds, we felt that we were God’s enemies, alienated from Him. Our sinful behavior causes us to think this. However, this is not what was true in God’s mind. God sent His only Son into the world so that we would not perish. Immanuel means “God with us”. Humanity was reconciled back to God through Christ’s death. This is not a God who holds us as His enemies, rather, a God who cherishes His creation, regardless of our behavior. Christ in us, our hope of glory–that’s Christmas. *** Re-aired on 3:30 broadcast ***

About Basic Gospel

Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Bob grew up in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13. During his high school and college years, Bob struggled with the question of how to live the Christian life. His "roller-coaster" experience taught him that he didn't have what it took to be "God's guy." More info: https://basicgospel.net/about/bob-christopher/
